Background

Scope and content:

This collection consists of three notebooks created by John C. Paker. The notebooks contain experiments and lab notes for VMI chemistry and physics classes from 1912 to 1914.

Biographical / historical:

John Crump Parker was born in 1895 in Franklin, Virginia. He graduated VMI in 1914 and went on to become a lawyer. Parker died in 1986 in Franklin.
