Scope and content:

This collection consists of one letter (dated May 30, 1887) to Paul O. Vance from his father. In the letter, Vance's father replies to a request for money.

Biographical / historical:

Paul Otey Vance was born in 1869 in Clarksville, Tennessee. He graduated VMI in 1890 and went on to become a businessman. He died in 1913 in Chicago, Illinois.
