Background

Scope and content:

This collection consists of one VMI scrapbook compiled by Philip Smith (VMI Class of 1914). The scrapbook includes photographs, invitations, programs, and other VMI memorabilia.

Biographical / historical:

Philip Smith was born in 1893 in Cameron, Missouri. He graduated VMI in 1914 and went on to become a construction supervisor and landscape designer. He died in 1948 in Norfolk, Virginia.
