This collection is comprised of materials from Steve Resz's documentary "Reston- Past, Present and Future". The bulk of the collection is comprised of videotapes that contain footage from Founder's Day, the Multicultural Festival and interviews with Robert Simon. This collection also includes production notes and voice over scripts related to the documentary.
Series 1 contains production notes and timelines related to the production of the film. It also includes the voice over scripts used. This series is arranged alphabetically.

Reston is a planned community in Northern Virginia. Robert E. Simon, Jr. was the founder of Reston, he purchased the land with the proceeds from the sale of Carnegie Hall in New York City in 1961. Steve Resz filmed and produced a documentary called "Reston-Past, Present and Future" to celebrate Reston's 40th anniversary.
