The scrapbooks in this collection, which date from 1955-1957, contain ephemera, memorabilia, and student records that relate to Juanita Fay Salmon during her time as a student at Longwood College.
- Biographical / historical:

Juanita Fay Salmon of Newport News, Virginia was born in 1938 to Lt. Colonel Wilmer Henry Salmon and Evelyn (Mallicott) Salmon. She attended then Longwood College from 1955 to 1959, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. While a student at Longwood College, Salmon was a member of the Baptist Student Union, Longwood Choir, Madrigal Singers, Delta Zeta, and the Cotillion Club. Additionally, she served as an assistant editor for The Rotunda (student newspaper).

These scrapbooks, compiled by Juanita Fay Salmon during her freshman and sophomore years at Longwood College, were acquired by Nancy Shelton during her tenure with the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations. It is unknown when the collection was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.
