This scrapbook, which dates from 1966 to 1969, was compiled by Patricia Alice Kingsley and includes newspaper clippings, photographs, and handwritten notes.

Biographical / historical:

Patricia Alice Kingsley of Virginia Beach, Virginia was born in 1947 to Frederic Thomas and Jeannette Hayes Kingsley. In 1965, she enrolled in then-Longwood College and graduated in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. While a student at Longwood College, Kingsley served as Sophomore Class Historian and Senior Class President and was May Court Maid of Honor in 1969. Additionally, she was on the Rotunda (student newspaper) staff, and was a member of Sigma Kappa and Longwood College Colleagues.

Custodial history:

The scrapbook in this collection was compiled by Patricia Alice Kingsley during her time as a student at Longwood College. The scrapbook was later acquired by Nancy Shelton during her tenure with the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations. This collection was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives in 2006.
