This collection, which dates ca. 1969 to 1972, includes a Longwood Colleagues jumper dress and a small plastic novelty tooth painted, in red, with Mary Tabb Johnston's initials.
- Biographical / historical:

Mary Tabb Johnston of Blacksburg, Virginia was born in 1950 to George Burke Johnston and Mary Tabb Lancaster Johnston. In 1968, she enrolled as a student at Longwood College, an institution where her grandfather, Dabney Lancaster had been president from 1946 to 1955. While a student at Longwood College, Johnston was a member of Alpha Delta Pi, Longwood Colleagues, Geist, and the tennis team. As well, she served on both the Residence Board and the Judicial Board. Mary Tabb Johnston graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. In 1993, Johnston married Fred Otto Schubert of Charlottesville, Virginia.

The items in this collection, which belonged to Mary Tabb Johnston while a student at Longwood College, were later acquired by Nancy Shelton during her tenure with the Longwood University Department of Alumni Relations. It is unknown when this collection was transferred to the Greenwood Library Archives.
