- Biographical / historical:

In 1909, Jennie Masters Tabb was hired as the first official registrar of the State Female Normal School. Prior to this, the duties of the registrar were handled by the office of the normal school president. The duties of the registrar's office, at that time, included admissions, student registration, and official recording of grades.
