Scope and content:

This collection contains eight scrapbooks consisting of concert flyers, programs, newspaper clippings, photographs, and newsletters for the American Guild of Organists in Charlottesville, Va.

Biographical / historical:

The Charlottesville chapter of the National Guild of Organists formed in 1976. The first officers of the organization were Norman Allen, Dean; William Little, Subdean; Jane Van Valkenburg, Secretary; and Robert Harman, Treasurer. There were approximately 15 members at its founding.
