Scope and content:

The Anna W. Keichline Papers include her article, "Modern Wall Construction" which appeared in the 1932 Clay-Worker, information about her ideas concerning kitchen design, copies of patents for a compination sink and laundry tub, photographs, and biographical information. Some images of her designs, including the Decker home in Bellefonte, are available in the VT ImageBase.

Biographical / historical:

Architect and inventor. B.A. in Architecture (1911) from Cornell University; first registered woman architect in Pennsylvania. Designer of residences in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Washington, D.C. Inventor of kitchen and home appliances, and the K-brick.
