- Abstract:
- This historical map of Bedford County, Virginia, was compiled from maps, historical records, and traditions by J. R. Hildebrand, who copyrighted the historical map in 1973. It contains a brief history of the county surrounding the map, and on the map are identified locations for incidents of historical interest. The map is bordered by a list of names of men who, presumably, lived in the county. The bottom left corner contains a map of smaller scale, so one can find Bedford County in the context of Virginia.
