Background

Scope and content:

The collection consists of 27 scrapbooks ranging in size from 8.5 by 11 inches to 36 by 24 inches, boxed individually. This collection also contains loose pages and documents that have been separated from their orginal scrapbook or directly relate to the Virginia Tech Union.

Biographical / historical:

Established in 1969, the Virginia Tech Union is a student organization that provides entertainment and educational opportunities to the university community.

Acquisition information:
The Virginia Tech Union Scrapbooks were transferred to Special Collections and University Archives in February 2013.
Processing information:

The processing, arrangement, and description of the Virginia Tech Union Scrapbooks was completed in April 2016.

Arrangement:

The collection is divided into series by format, and each series is organized chronologically.
