Background

Scope and content:

This collection contains a photograph, magazine clippings, a exhibit brochure, a survey and a meeting transcript from the conventions of the Virginia Nurserymen's Association. An 8"x10" photograph depicts the participants in the 1962 Virginia Nurserymen's Association summer tour. There are clippings from 1961 to 1965. An exhibits brochure from the 33rd annual Virginia Nurserymen's Association convention in 1964 is also included. A survey to be filled out by members and a meeting transcript from the 1962 convention are included.

Biographical / historical:

The Virginia Nurserymen's Association was founded in 1931. The name was later changed to Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association as of 2000. The Association is a professional organization that provides resources for those in the nursery and landscape industry in Virginia.

Acquisition information:
This collection was acquired by Newman Library prior to 1968.
Processing information:

The processing, arrangement, and description of the Virginia Nurserymen's Association was completed prior to February 2011. Additional description was completed in February 2011.
