The Art and Architectural Review Board (AARB) reviews and advises the Governor on the acquisition and design of works of art, buildings and structures on property owned by the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Art and Architecture Review Board is under the umbrella of the Dept. of General Services, which provides guidance and administrative support. AARB meets year-round on a monthly basis and is comprised of seven voting members, to include a designee of the Department of Historic Resources (DHR), and six citizen members appointed by the Governor. Agencies are responsible for submitting project information to AARB for its consideration.
