Electronic records often contain board meeting packets with various attachments and draft minutes, while paper records often include minutes only. After this, transfers of records (records starting in 2008) included all boards, which were accessioned under one accession number. There is a separate finding aid for the later transfers (link to finding aid below).

The Real Estate Board was established in 1924 to regulate businesses and individuals representing others in real property transactions, including condominiums, cooperatives, and time-shares. The Board issues licenses to persons, partnerships, associations or corporations to act as real estate brokers or real estate salesmen or to advertise or assume to act as such real estate brokers or real estate salesmen and to promulgate regulations for education requirements for licensure and relicensure. An adjunct responsibility allows the Board to investigate housing discrimination under the aegis of the Federal Fair Housing Act. The Dept. of Professional and Occupational Regulation provides administrative support to the board.
