Deed Books, 1721-1793, of King George County Court. The deed book record the name of the grantor and grantee, the residence of both individuals and the description of property being sold or transferred. Deed Book, Nos. 1 and 3 contains information relating to bonds and Deed Book, No. 6 contains information relating to inventories. Deed Book Nos. 4 and 5 (1758 -1779) is an index. All the other volumes have indexes included with the regular deed books which contains the first and last names of both parties. It is arranged alphabetically from A-Z.

King George County was formed from Richmond County. Part of Westmoreland County was added in 1777.
The deed books of King George County in this collection were created by the County Court.
Created by an act of 1720 to take effect on May 19, in 1721. Most loose records prior to 1830 are missing. Volumes that record deeds, court orders, and wills exist.
