This collection contains a series of documents produced by the US Air Force and issued to Harry Combs during his military service between 1957 and 1958.
It also contains a single scrapbook produced by Harry Combs that documents his time in the US Air Force, primarily at Vincent Air Force Base located near Yuma Arizona. This includes photographs and newspaper documenting events held on base.
- Biographical / historical:

Harry Combs was born November 6, 1934 near McCauley West Virginia. He attended Woodstock High School and graduated in 1955. Afterwhich he served in the US Air Force.
Following his discharge he returned to Shenandoah County Virginia and worked for Woodstock Garage as a auto parts manager and later as a sports photographer for the Northern Virginia Daily.
He was married ot Doris Lam Combs.
- Acquisition information:
- Purchase, Laughlin Auctions. Auction sale 272 "Estate of Harry and Doris Combs" on July 29 2022. Lot 1423.
- Processing information:

Items were received in an open cardboard box from Laughlin Auctions. Loose documents were foldered and the folder labeled based on the information provided in the documents. The scrapbook as wrapped in tissue paper and labeled based on the date and contents of the book. Items were then placed in a Gaylord drop front box for long term storage.
