Biographical / historical:

Davis Coiner Rosen (1928-2004) was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Coiner was the co-founder of C.C. Rosen and Sons Inc. and operated Rudes Hill Farm. He was invloved in the Shenandoah County community as a member of the Shenandoah County Historical Society, a past chairman of the Shenandoah County Board of Zoning Appeals and a life member of Virginia 4-H All Stars. Coiner was involved in the renovation of the Our Soldiers Confederate Cemetery in Mt. Jackson. He was active in the preservation of Civil War history with his involvement in the creation of more than ten Virginia highway historical markers and Civil War trail signs. He was a collector of Civil War memorabilia and was involved with Confederate memorial organizations.

Purchased from Laughlin Auctions on August 6, 2025.
Processing information:

Purchased at an auction. No original order. Photographs were sleeved. The single scrapbook is stored in three different pieces due to size.
