This collection comprises approximately 16.5 linear feet of materials.
It is divided into five series and housed in 16 boxes and two oversize folders.
Series I: Documents, Box 1-7, contains documents related to Chamber of Commerce activities. Series II: Audio Materials, Box 8, contains audio recordings of meetings and programs. Series III: Photographs, Box 9-10, contains photographs of Chamber of Commerce events and members. Series IV: Membership Cards, Box 11-14, contains membership cards for the Chamber of Commerce. Includes businesses and individuals. Names, addresses, etc. Series V: Bound Records, Box 15-16, contains scrapbooks, ledgers and other bound records of Chamber of Commerce activities.

The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1922 by a group of local business leaders who sought to improve the local economy. Over the years the organization was responsible for many projects including the construction of the Woodstock Tower, local parades, town beautification efforts, business initiatives, and festivals. The organization merged with several other local chamber of commerce organizations in 2011 and changed its name to the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce.
- Acquisition information:
- Donated by the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce, March 30, 2018. The Shenandoah County Chamber is the successor organization to the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce.

Material was originally stored in a series of cardboard boxes of various sizes (approximately 8 linear feet).
Boxes were stored in the attic of the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce building in downtown Woodstock, Virginia.
Boxes were removed and evaluated for mold, etc. due to water leak. None found.
Original order of materials had been lost following reboxing by chamber staff when items were placed in storage. Order at the time of donation was based on item size and available boxes.
Items were removed from original boxes and sorted by item type and then arranged by date.
Materials were then foldered or wrapped if needed and rehoused in appropriate boxes. Photographs were sleeved and placed in individual envelopes.

The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce is arranged in five (5) series based on material type.
Series I: Documents; Series II: Audio Materials; Series III: Photographs; Series IV: Membership Cards; Series V: Bound Records;
Within each series, materials are arranged chronologically with undated material at the end of each series.
Oversize materials are stored separately but included in the series inventory chronologically.
