<p>Cooking is essential to survival; however, it is the stories within the recipes that are struggling to survive. Black Folk and Our Food, an orginal project by PhD student and university oral historian Andre L. Taylor, that ventures into the kitchens of Black families around the country, and conducts oral histories with them while they are cooking, to capture the recipes, and preserve the family history.</p>  </scopecontent>
