Columns are entitled:  Letters from England, Letters from the Several Stages in Ireland and Letters to the Several Stages in Ireland.     <head>Biographical / Historical</head>
<p>Lord John Berkeley, Baron of Stratton, was one of the Proprietors of the Northern Neck of Virginia as well as the Provinces of North and South Carolina.  At he time of the sigining of the document in this collection, her was Lord Lieutenant of Ireland under Charles II.  He was a cousin of Norbonne Berkeley, sometime Governor of the Province of Virginia.  Donated to the College of William &amp; Mary by Henry J. Berkeley, Baltimore, in May 1926.</p>  </bioghist>
