The collection contains pressbooks and posters of over 40 blaxploitation films. The pressbooks contain articles about the film, the stars and the filmmakers, as well as samples of proposed publicity campaigns, plot synopses, credits and other information. Many of the posters were used to advertise the films in local theaters, some doctored to suit white audiences while others have directions that specified "for black audiences only." Some of the movies include Shaft's Big Score, Blacula, Hammer, Cleopatra Jones, and Super Fly T.N.T.
