Diary, 1875-1886, of Abraham Rudisill, a member of the 43rd Pennsylvania Light Artillery during the Civil War. It is primarily contemplative in nature and contains many references and rememberances to his service during the Civil War, including at the battle of Gettsyburg, gambling during the Civil War, the battle of Bull Run, and other events and battles.
Also includes information on Rudisill's personal and religious life as well as the death of his wife. The diary itself seems to be handmade as it has no cover and the binding consists of many pieces of thread, as if more pages were added over time.
Collection is open to all researchers.
