    <head>Content Description</head>
<p>Two page letter addressed to, "Brother" dated December 9, 1863.  Contents are family affairs, updates on neighbors, and wishes that the Union troops will leave all lands unmolested as the battles in the state continue.</p>  </scopecontent>
