<p>Letter by Charles Carter, Ludlow Farm,  to Edmund Pendleton 23 August 1783. Concerns the sale of lands belonging to Carter's grandfather Robert "King" Carter,  to pay off Charles Carter's debts to the estate of John Robinson being administered by Pendleton.</p>  </scopecontent>
