    <head>Biographical Information:</head>
<p>Alan V. Briceland was a student at the College of William and Mary from 1957 through 1961. He was an active member of the ROTC and the Circle K Club. After William and Mary, he received his Masters and PhD from Duke University and taught history at Virginia Commonwealth University.</p>  </bioghist>
