The Virginia Beach Infant Sanitarium took care of sick children, treating them with ocean air. The sanitarium was founded by Kate Barton Myers, wife of the Norfolk mayor, Barton Myers in 1888. The Sanitarim was located on Atlantic Avenue at 18th Street in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It closed in the 1940s.
