      <p>There is an autograph letter dated March 12, 1894 from
         Ednah Dow Cheney to Miss Lowell which refers to an enclosed
         note from Mrs. Richards, relates that the following day is the
         only time this month that she could visit the girls in the
         Institute, and that she is glad to have her in the [New
         England Women's] club. There is also an undated autograph of
         Cheney cut from a letter.</p>
