This collection consists of annual event calendars maintained by the University of Virginia School of Law's communications department. The calendars provide dates, times, and descriptions for events hosted at the Law School. The communications department posted the calendars on the School's website to promote and share the events.

At various times, archivists at the University of Virginia Law Library captured the event calendars from the Internet, created .pdf copies, and transferred all of the resulting files to the Library archive. More information about the immediate acquisition of particular files is included in this finding aid's inventory list.
University of Virginia employees created the text contained in the event calendars as part of their regular job duties. Thus, the calendars are the intellectual property of the Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia. Researchers must seek permission from the University to reuse or publish any content in the calendars until it enters the public domain.
