    <head>Scope and Contents</head>
<p>This collection consists of a manuscript copy of Joseph E. Johnston's General Order No. 18, dated April 27, 1865, a letter dated January 24, 1884 written by Johnston to possibly James F. Rogers, and an autographed photograph of Johnston.</p><p>Johnston's General Order No. 18 deals with the cessation of hostilities at the end of the Civil War. The letter concerns letters from Robert E. Lee.</p>  </scopecontent>
