    <bioghist>
      <head>Biographical/Historical Information</head>
      <p>Camillus Christian, son of Elizabeth Hutter and John Davis
Christian, was born at Lynchburg, Virginia on May 6, 1892. He
attended the Virginia Military Institute from 1909-1914 and
served in France during World War I as a Captain in the 363rd
Infantry, AEF. Christian spent his career as a businessman in
Brooklyn, New York, primarily as an executive with Childs Pulp
Colors, Inc. He married Joyce Holt in 1915; the couple did not
have children. Christian died at Saddle River, New Jersey on
November 2, 1978.</p>
