<p>The bulk of this collection consists of items dating from T. Randolph Perkinson's World War I service with Headquarters, 30th Division, as an aide-de-camp to General S. L. Faison. Documents include:

<li>A battlefield map</li>
<li>A leave of absence document</li>
<li>30th Division and 119th Infantry histories</li>
</ul>
Also included are documents and photos dating from his cadetship and later life.</p>  </scopecontent>

<p>Thomas Randolph Perkinson, Jr. (1895-1973) graduated from VMI in 1918, served as a First Lieutenant during World War I, and was a well-known businessman in Danville, Virginia.</p>  </bioghist>
