    <head>Biographical / Historical</head>
<p>William Marshall King was born in 1901 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He graduated from VMI in 1921. He was a lawyer, Virginia State Corporation Commissioner, VMI Board of Visitors member, and the mayor of Fredericksburg. King died in 1957 in Richmond, Virginia and is buried in Fredericksburg.</p>  </bioghist>
