<p>Lee Saunders Gerow was born in 1891 in Petersburg, Virginia. He graduated VMI in 1913. He was a Brigadier General in the United States Army and Head of the Culver Military Academy (Indiana). Gerow died in 1982 in Washington, D.C.</p>  </bioghist>
