    <head>Biographical / Historical</head>
<p>Kenneth Sinclair Purdie (1892-1983) was born in Norfolk, Virginia. He graduated VMI in 1912 and went on to become a United States Army officer, educator, and VMI faculty member. He died in 1983 in Lexington, Virginia.</p>  </bioghist>
