<p>The Jamestown Ter-Centennial Exhibition was a World's Fair held in 1907 in Norfolk, Virginia. It was intended to be a celebration of the 300th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown and the colony of Virginia, following in the successful tradition of similar exhibitions across the United States. The fair was plagued with organizational and financial problems, and eventually was deemed a commercial failure, but did see some success in its exhibitions, particularly one on African Americans.</p> </bioghist>
