    <head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>R. C. (Robert Cary) Nichols (1908-1976) was married to Archie Mactier Nichols (1914-2014) from 1935 to his death in 1976. their children include Jane and Cary. Nichols was a student at VPI from 1927-1931 and was a resident of Bedford, Glasgow, Roanoke and Arlington, Virginia.</p><p>
