    <head>Historical </head>
<p>Atchison Leather INC., also known as the Berger Company today, manufactures leather goods for wholesale. The company was founded in 1908 and had created a wide variety of leather products since then.     <head>Scope and Contents</head>
<p>This is a pyramidical maroon and orange bag with "VIRGINIA TECH" (in print or block lettering),  "Hokies" (in cursive), and the long-necked Fighting Gobbler emblem on each side. The bag has white stitching and piping along the sides with a zipper closure. The handles are black with metal hardware. The inside of the bag is a white canvas material with a hard corkboard base at the bottom. The inside of the bag has a tag that reads "ATCHISON LEATHER INC. ATCHISON, KANSAS." The conditon of the bag is fair, some minor discoloration/stains.</p>  </scopecontent>
