Biographical Note

Junius Woodward was probably born about 1846 or 1847 in Alabama. Records don't clearly indicate with which regiment he served during the Civil War, but it was probably one from Alabama. After the war, he returned to Talladega and lived with his family, working as a clerk. In 1876, he married Sarah Rogers Wood (sometimes listed in census records as "Sallie"). They had one son, Rice. Woodward died in Talladega, Alabama, in 1921.
 </bioghist>
