    <head>Biographical Note</head>
<p>Richard Aldington was born July 8, 1892, in the United Kingdom. During his long career as a poet, critic, translator, and biographer, he authored more than 70 works. His novels included: <title render="italic">Death of a Hero</title> (1929), <title render="italic">All Men are Enemies</title> (1933), and <title render="italic">Women Must Work</title> (1934). He died in July 1962, shortly after his 70th birthday.</p>  </bioghist>
