Items were donated without original order and a loose stack. Items were boxed based on item type and size and arranged chronologically within each box.
Paper items were foldered and boxed. Books were wrapped, labeled, and boxed.
Collection contains four items related to the Fleming family and their farming operation. It includes two farm record books.
Beverly Fleming (1930-2023) was a born in Mt. Jackson Virginia on his multi-generation family farm. After attending college and graduate school, he was employed by the Federal Government for a carrer in several departments. He retired in the 1980s and returned to Shenandoah County. There he seved two terms as chair of the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors, at professor at Laurel Ridge Community College, was a substitute teacher, and served on many boards and committees.
