Campbell Family Documents 1825, 1919

This collection consists of two items. One is a summons to John Sexton to answer complaint of Robert Campbell for non-payment of debt and is dated 10 May 1825. The other item is a letter from Theodore P. Campbell, Dean of the General Faculty, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, Virginia to Lee Howard, Floyd County, Virginia dated 1 April 1919. Campbell urges Howard to enroll in the college.

Carl Davis Papers 1922-1942

The Papers consist of two series. Series I, Correspondence (1924-1942, undated) includes letters between Carl Davis and clients interested in purchasing beagles and collies and farm agents and livestock marketers regarding market conditions and prices for sheep, lambs, cattle, and hogs. Also included are letters to Elizabeth Eversole regarding her poultry business.

Caroline Sharpe Sanders Papers 1919-1942

The collection consists of seven documents. A program for Sweet Briar College commencement on 3 June 1919 and a small diploma are included documenting Sanders' achievement of an A. B. degree. An Episcopal Church marriage service booklet and a church marriage certificate, and an original marriage certificate records the marriage of Caroline Sharpe to Marion Sanders in May 1924. Finally, two transcript from Sweet Briar, issued 19 September 1930 and 20 October 1942, provide a list of courses and grades received while Sanders was a student there.

Death certificate for Morris Polakoff, died 11 February 1946. Parents were Michael Polakoff and Ida Shaline of Russia; occupation, stationery shop; age 51; burial, Wellwood Cemetery, New York City; cause of death, complications from peptic ulcer surgery; place of death, Fordham Hospital.
