The Papers are mostly legislative material where she was involved either as an originator of or co-signer to Dear Colleague letters or as a sponsor or co-sponsor to legislation, but also includes speeches, press releases and office files.The first folder is the first box contains news clippings, biographical information, list of staff members and definitions of Co-Sign, Sign-On and Dear Colleague Letters.

Collection contains printed materials, photographs, and church-related documents related to Georgia Ragsdale Curtis of Roanoke, Virginia and her family including her sister Laura Ragsdale Barnett. The earliest materials include a 1912 handwritten diary of a Ragsdale family member. The papers in the collection include newspaper clippings of family obituaries, family funeral service programs, family photographs, civil rights related papers and magazines, Addison High School and Patrick Henry High School papers and yearbooks related to Georgia's career as a teacher, and several papers related to the Blue Ridge Baptist Church of Roanoke, Virginia which Georgia was very involved with from at least 1966 until her death in 2008.

This collection contains the records and paperwork related to Art Song of Williamsburg. This organization existed from 2000 through 2007 and was responsible for an average of three concerts a year. Their records include papers relating to their creation and termination, financial and tax records, biographies and contracts for the artists they featured, as well as inter-organizational correspondence between board members. Genevieve McGiffert was the founder and features prominently in the records. In addition to the paper records, the collection contains audiovisual material of the bulk of the performances sponsored by Art Song of Williamsburg. The musical performances were often preceded by educational lectures.

This collection contains stereoviews, lantern slides, and other photographic materials collected by Kelvin Ramsey. The stereoviews were distributed by various companies, including Melander and Brothers, Keystone and Company, Bell and Brother, and D.H. Anderson. The images cover various historic sites and monuments in Washington, D.C. and Virginia, such as Arlington National Cemetery, Harper's Ferry, the White House, the William & Mary, Jamestown, and Fort Monroe.The bulk of the lantern slides feature landscapes in Virginia, including Mount Vernon, Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown. There are also images of tobacco plants and of aspects of growing and treating tobacco.

Comprised mostly of letters to, from, and about Nathaniel Beverley Tucker (1820-1890), a Virginian journalist and diplomat, his son Beverley Dandridge Tucker (1846-1930), a bishop, and their friends and family dating between 1830 and 1903. Family correspondents include Charles Ellis, Thomas H. Ellis, and Powhatan Ellis (brothers of Jane Shelton (Ellis) Tucker); Virginia Sarah Tucker Brooke, sister of Nathaniel Beverley Tucker ; Jane Shelton (Ellis) Tucker, wife Nathaniel Beverley Tucker; Anna Maria Washington Tucker, daughter of John Augustine Washington and wife of Beverley Dandridge Tucker; and Beverley Dandridge Tucker and Charles Ellis Tucker, sons of Nathaniel Beverley Tucker. Notable correspondents include Franklin Pierce, Jefferson Davis, John Slidell, Sidney Webster, J.G. Blaine, Walker Blaine, Judah P. Benjamin, Stephen Massett, Hamilton Fish, Benjamin Harrison, and Stephen D. Lee.

Papers, 1770-1875, of the Blow family of "Tower Hill," Sussex County, Va. and of the Waller family. Prominent correspondents in the collection include Philip Barraud, John Hartwell Cocke, Henry Lee and Edmund Ruffin. Most of these accessions were integrated as the collection was partially processed, but some are boxed separately.

The Manuscripts Artifact Collection includes artifacts from a variety of personal papers and organizational records collections, as well as items acquired individually.

The collection includes: correspondence and land records of Robert "King" Carter; correspondence and land records of his sons Robert Carter (1704-1731) and Landon Carter (1710-1778); correspondence, accounts, land records and the appointment to the Virginia Council of Robert Carter (1728-1804), son of Robert Carter (1704-1731); correspondence, diaries, land records and accounts of Robert Wormeley Carter (1734-1804), son of Landon Carter of Sabine Hall; and correspondence and land records and papers concerning the estate of Robert Carter's grandson, Landon Carter (1757-1820).

Papers, 1795-1834 and n.d., of Eliza Kortright Monroe Hay. Includes letters written by and to her and to her father James Monroe. Correspondents include her former teacher Madame [Jeanne Louise Henriette] Campan, her daughter Hortensia M. Rogers of "Druid Hill" near Baltimore, Md. , her son-in-law Lloyd N. Rogers as well as the daughter of Marquis de Lafayette, Marie Antoinette Virginie de Lafayette Lasteyrie du Saillant. Subjects include the debts and final illness of James Monroe, the final illness of George Hay, the possible sale by the Hay family of "Ashfield," [near Richmond, Va.], the aftermath of the French Revolution, Hortense de Beauharnais (the stepdaughter of Napoleon and the mother of Napoleon III), Samuel L. Gouverneur and his wife Maria Hester Monroe Gouverneur, Tench Ringgold and Egbert Read Watson.
