Abstract Or Scope

A set of photocopied Civil War era papers regarding Thomas J. Walker, born in Morgantown, West Virginia, compiled by researcher Richard L. Armstrong. Walker was a member of the 73rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The papers document Walker's experiences fighting at Williamsville, VA, Bath County, and also describe his wounds and medical condition after the battle. Papers include pension records of Walker, and typescript research notes and hand-drawn maps by Armstrong. The events at Williamsville during the Civil War were chronicled by Armstrong in his book "Ambush at Williamsville, Va. : April 26, 1862."
