Diaries of the Olmstead family of Orville, New York ranging from 1878 - 1960. The diaries are predominantly by Ida Olmstead, but there are also diaries by her husband, Arthur Olmstead, her son, Fred Olmstead, and her daughter-in-law, Ruby Olmstead. These diaries primarily give information about the weather, the Olmstead family, friends, local events, and interactions with other residents of Orville. In addition to the diaries, there are two ledgers which presumably deal with Arthur Olmstead's store, an "Announcement List," and an address book.

Diary, 1914, of Pearl A. Warner, a sixteen-year-old teenage girl from Moravia, Cayuga County, New York (State), where she lived with her parents, older sister and younger brother. In daily entries of varying length, Pearl talks about daily activities, events in school and in town, family, neighbors and friends. At the time the diary was written, Pearl's father owned a meat market in town.

Unpublished manuscripts, circa 2000s, of Richard E. Herbster of Falconer, New York. Contains four unpublished manuscripts that make up the Glencree Quartet. The books are "Glencree," which consists of three volumes; "Queen Jane," which consists of two volumes; "The Sun Singer," which consists of two volumes; and "Next Year In Jerusalem," which consists of one volume. Each of the volumes is comb bound.

This collection consists diaries of mother and daughters from New York (State). There are seven diaries of Lidorna A. Rogers, 1895-1896, 1896-1897, 1900-1901, 1912 and 1914-1915, and five diaries of her daughter Una L. Angevine for the years 1916 and 1921-1923.

Diaries, 1886-1890, of Rosa C. Uebner of Gloversville, New York. Uebner was a servant and housekeeper for the family of Tallmadge Parson. Her diaries describe her daily life, including cleaning that she performed, sewing, laundry, and other activities. Also includes a drawing of a formal dress.
