Scrapbook kept by Florence H. Fix (b. 1908) of Milaca, Minnesota from her high school junior year through graduation in the spring. Scrapbook contains invitations, programs, news clippings, letters, photographs, as well as many lengthy entries written by Florence's friends reflecting on their friendship, school days and future. A commencement memory booklet contains the full names of her classmates as well as a brief, often humorous entry listing what they would like to become in life. One volume. Acquired 2009 July 20.

Diary of H.A. Porger of Duluth, Minnesota for the year 1917. Porger was a shipyard worker, whose entries describe work, leisure activities, as well as World War I mobilization in this hometown. The following description was provided by the seller: "... writes about going to the Orpheum to see the shows with dancers, attending a Burlesque show, getting drunk, attending a stag party, going to a "rough neck" dance and a masquerade dance, dances at the "Lakewood Chateau", playing the gramophone and Victrola, going on a moonlight excursion on the Mississippi, going to see the Barnum Circus side show, buying a Ford car, camping, a hockey game, sleigh rides, eclipse of the moon, accidents on the docks, War being declared on Germany, Soldiers guarding the docks, watching the drafted soldiers & the naval militia leave for war, a "Monster Patriotic Parade" with 17,000 people, having a "little scrap" with drunken soldiers at a dance, a mother who poured carbolic acid into her sons eyes to prevent him from going to war,

Diaries of Jean Smith and Edward Smith, siblings of Hawley, Minnesota. Edward Smith's diary primarily concern his school activities, jobs which he performs around the town, and interactions he has with members of the community. Jean Smith's diary primarily concerns the sickness and death of Edward Smith and her family's reaction to his death. There is also a letter of condolence, dated March 7, 1883, written by Jean Smith's uncle to her father, Oscar Smith. Finally, there are calling cards for Jean Smith and Edward Smith.
