His compositions encompass a wide range of instrumentation and format. His works include pieces for a solo instrument, full orchestra, chamber ensemble, voice, music for children, and opera. Materials in this collection also document some of Mr. Blank's personal and professional interests.

This collection includes memorabilia, resolutions, early William and Mary campus photographs, clippings, and correspondence of Charles J. Duke, Jr. Correspondence, reports and photographs relate to Charles Duke's position as the Bursar of the College of William and Mary. Of particular importance is the material on the Norfolk and Richmond Divisions which later became Old Dominion University and Virginia Commonwealth University, especially the correspondence of Director William T. Hodges. Includes correspondence and reports of the "Virginia Reorganization of the Agencies of State Government," committee formed by Governor William M. Tuck where Duke served as Chief of Staff.

The collection documents Chris Burnside's performances, 1981 to 2009. The collection contains reproductions of articles about Burnside and his work as well as video of thirty performances which have been digitized from various media storage formats. Other materials include flyers, posters, promotional pamphlets, exhibition books, and correspondence. Of particular note are items relating to a benediction that Burnside composed for the re-opening of the Grace Street Theater in 1996.

The materials related to his medical practice provide insight into the work of the rural medical practitioner especially during the years just prior to World War I.

This collection contains photographs in paper and electronic format, slides, and negatives of a variety of subejcts pertaining to VCU. The materials are circa 1950-2010 but much of the collection is undated. The collection is loosely arranged by the creating School or Department and then alphabetized by subject. There is a folder inventory available upon request. A selection of these materials are being digitized and will be available in VCU Digital Collections. This collection is only a portion of photos available. Other photographs may be available in other University Archive Collections under the appropriate School or Department of transfer.
