Abstract Or Scope
Civil docket of justices of the peace W.E. Rightmire and A.B. Knabenshue. There is a description of each case which includes names, dates, sum in dispute, and decision of court. There are files on the strike relief fund; organizing activities; New Deal and wartime agencies; labor mediation and arbitration; and Congressional labor legislation such as the Taft-Hartley Act. There are also records of the state conventions and of the Political Action Committee (PAC). The files of the West Virginia Labor Federation, AFL-CIO, contain presidential files, secretary-treasurer files, financial records, convention files, and legislative files, reports and reference materials. There is correspondence with affiliates, local central bodies, state central bodies and international unions.
