Henry County (Va.) Commonwealth Causes, 1856-1859, consist of five commonwealth causes against slaves and a free negro for crimes including assault with the intent to maim, malicious stabbing, aid and abet a poisoning, and rape. All of the suits include extensive testimony and some deponents are slaves.

Henry County (Va.) Free School Registers, 1847-1853, are six volumes relating to pupil attendance and subjects studied for the public schools. Recorded are the names of pupils, names of their parents, age, date entered school, date left school, daily attendance, subjects studied, and remarks related to dates of school visits by the school commissioner. Some of the volumes state who the teacher and the school commissioner are. Some of the volumes give occasional statistical statements per school term about numbers of students and numbers of days attended.

Henry County (Va.) Marriage Register, 1778-1849, is essentially divided into two sections. The first section covering pages 1-149, 1778-1849, records the date of the marriage bond, the names of both parties, the names of the parents or guardians present and the names of the security or witnesses in attendance. The second section covering pages 151-196, 1781-1849, records the date of the marriage, the names of both parties, the minister's name and the religious denomination of the minister.

Henry County (Va.) Register of Colored Persons cohabiting together as Husband and Wife, 1866. Also commonly called Henry County (Va.) Cohabitation Register. This register records on thirty three pages the name of the husband, his age, place of birth, residence, occupation, last owner, last owner's residence, name of the wife, her age, place of birth, residence, last owner, last owner's residence, name of children with the ages of each, and the date of commencement of cohabitation. There is no index.

Henry County (Va.) Township Records, 1871-1875, consist of three volumes and one folder of minutes and accounts relating to township activities and duties.
