This collection contains material from Agnes Wolf's work with the Dranesville District Democratic Committe, the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, the Democratic National Committee, the Women's Leaderships Forum, the McLean Citizens Association and other political organizations. The material consists of correspondence, campaign memorabilia, committee reports, photographs and voter data and information.

Photographs, correspondence, telegrams, and memorabilia of a corporation lawyer, banker, businessman, Democratic candidate for governor in 1920 and the U.S. Senate in 1934, a Democratic National Committeeman, 1940-1958, a member of West Virginia University's Board of Governors, and holder of the Order of Vandalia for service to West Virginia University. Subjects include the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Convention and campaign of 1956, and Koontz's bequests to colleges and universities.

Military records, business papers, and correspondence of a brigadier general, Kingwood attorney, state legislator, secretary of the West Virginia Horticultural Society, state adjutant general, and state Selective Service director. Facsimiles of printed material relating to Charles J. Faulkner (1806-1884), who was a Martinsburg attorney, Virginia legislator, member of Congress, and ambassador to France during the James Buchanan administration. Includes a printed circular relating to the opening of the Wheeling Bridge, 1849; an invitation to a public dinner given in honor of Charles J. Faulkner on 16 December 1852; and a printed message to the Democrats of Page County, Virginia from Faulkner (undated).

Subjects include Osenton's early life; his law training at Georgetown University; his election to the state senate as a "silver" Democrat; William Jennings Bryan's tour of West Virginia, 1908; the presidential election of 1908; and Champ Clark's battle for the Democratic nomination, 1912. The papers also include a collection of broadsides pertaining to West Virginia, Kentucky, and national politics, 1898-1920; and the business and legal papers, ca.1847-1880, of Osenton's father-in-law, Arthur J. Lansdowne of Grayson, Kentucky. Correspondents include John D. Alderson, William J. Bryan, William E. Chilton, and Champ Clark.

Correspondence, business, and legal papers, and photographs of Thomas Barns (1750-1836) and his son John S. Barns, who operated a grist and saw mill at Polsleys Mill (now Fairmont). Papers deal with a river trip to Indiana, 1837; coal mining in 1839; the money question, 1838; land transactions, farming, and mercantile operations of the Barns family; Rosecrans in Middle Tennessee, 1863; and the poor economic conditions, 1878.
